What is Project Controls?

Project Controls are those

activities, their planning and execution, that together facilitate the completion of a project while meeting specified success criteria.

These activities generally encompass the efforts of a number of disciplines that comprise a Project team. Disciplines incorporated in the overall project controls effort include project management, estimating, scheduling, cost engineering, contract formation, negotiation and management, procurement, document control and accounting. The combination of all these carefully coordinated efforts yields the result of control over the construction project
